MEET MIA

MPH | Professional Dancer

Born and raised on the East Coast, Mia is an accomplished dancer, educator, and wellness advocate. As the founder of a beloved dance studio, she guided hundreds of couples toward confidence and connection on the dance floor. Now based in San Diego, California, she continues to share her expertise, bringing her signature warmth and artistry to the West Coast.

Mia holds an Associate’s in Dance Performance, an Associate’s in Science, and is a NASM-certified personal trainer. She is also AFAA Group Fitness certified and has received a three-year attunement as a Reiki Master. Her academic journey includes earning a Master of Public Health from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from UMBC, where she refined her ability to blend movement with holistic well-being.

A distinguished artist and performer, Mia was a member of UMBC’s Arts Collective Dance Company and the Dance Council of Majors, where her talents were recognized by The Baltimore Sun through Dean Renee Barger. Her artistic foundation includes musical theatre, performances with the Peabody Children’s Chorus, and a guest appearance with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Her choreography has been featured at prestigious venues and projects, including the Kennedy Center (National Dance Day), Oakland Mills Mansion Festival, UMBC dance productions, Kolom Studios’ animation film, the ManneqART shows at the Columbia Arts Center, and Addy Play Film Productions.

Beyond the stage, Mia has dedicated her career to empowering communities through movement. As a mentor in the DEA Youth Dance Program, she instilled self-esteem, teamwork, and positivity in children across BCPS schools, using dance as a tool for connection and personal growth.

Mia’s mission is to bridge the worlds of dance, fitness, and wellness—creating spaces where individuals can move, heal, and discover their full potential. With an unwavering commitment to excellence and inclusivity, she invites others to experience the transformative power of movement in a way that is both inspiring and deeply personal.

“I asked her to teach me a complicated choreographed dance as shown in a music video done by a professional dancer. Not only did she rise up to this challenge (in a short amount of time), she tailored the dance to fit our space constraints and personal styles, taught me exercises and stretches to help with my technique, hand wrote notes for my husband and I to practice the choreography at home, and did all of this happily with words of encouragement, singing, and smiles.
