FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Question 1: I have two left feet. Can I really learn to dance? Absolutely! Most of my clients start with little to no dance experience, and I specialize in breaking everything down in a way that makes learning easy and enjoyable. You don’t need natural rhythm or prior training—just an open mind and a willingness to have fun! I’ll guide you step by step so that dancing starts to feel natural, not intimidating.
Question 2: What is a private dance lesson like? Every lesson is completely tailored to you. I base the energy and pace on what feels right for you, always checking in to make sure you’re comfortable. We’ll start with a quick warm-up, go over the basics, and build at a natural, personalized pace. Whether you’re preparing for a wedding dance, ballroom, Latin, or an upcoming event, I make sure the experience is encouraging, enjoyable, and stress-free—so you leave feeling confident, accomplished, and excited for your next step.
Question 3: How soon should I start learning my wedding dance or event dance? The sooner, the better! Ideally, 3-6 months before your event gives you plenty of time to feel comfortable and confident. However, I’ve worked with couples and individuals on a tight schedule—even if you only have a few weeks, I’ll help you feel prepared and at ease. If your event is coming up quickly, let’s schedule a lesson and make the most of the time you have!
Question 4: What should we wear to our wedding dance lessons? Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. As we get closer to your special day or event, we’ll have a dress rehearsal where you’ll wear shoes that resemble what you’ll wear at the wedding, along with your outfit for both gentlemen and ladies. For men, dress shoes or smooth-soled sneakers work best, while women can start with supportive shoes and transition into heels if they plan to wear them. If your wedding dress is long or restrictive, consider bringing something similar to practice in.
Question 5: Do you offer family or friends dance events? Yes, I do! Whether it’s country swing, waltz, swing, or line dancing, I create a fun and engaging experience for everyone. It’s all about having a great time while learning something new together. For an extra fee, I can also travel to your home or event to make it even more convenient for you!
